Covid 19 Message
After much Prayer and consideration, Liberty Baptist Church of Chicago will be open tomorrow. Be clear that we have not made this decision from a religious fanatical perspective that suggest we are incapable of being impacted by the real pandemic we face. However, we consider our response to be sound mind spirit led response that informs us to adhere to CDC recommendations regarding washing hands, no hand shaking and worshiping at safe distances from one another. Simply leave the Holy Ghost a seat between you and your neighbor. Furthermore, do not let our church decision cause you to be critical of other houses of worship with different context that have decided to cancel service. we are becoming a world of absolute on issues that often do not have absolute remedies. the one absolute we have rather open or closed tomorrow is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With that said for those that may not understand our passion do not argue with them or attempt to justify our position. Shake the dust off your feet!
In addition, if you have any concerns regarding your health or well being Sunday do not feel pressure from me or anyone else to attend service. Being a good steward of your health is between you and the Lord. For those of you that make this decision not to attend service we will begin our Facebook stream at 11 AM and make the entire service available for your viewing. Lets continue to pray with our brothers and sisters in the city, country and around the world for a swift halt to the spread of Covid 19 and thank God in advance for keeping us during such a time as this.

Hello Liberators, I hope this communication finds you healthy and safe and cautious but not afraid. Due to the statewide shelter in place that takes effect this evening at 5 P.M. there will be no Sunday School or morning service beginning tomorrow until further notice. In addition , all other church activities are suspended as well. However, we will live stream worship service from our sanctuary at 11 A.M. on Facebook and You tube every Sunday throughout the shelter in place period. We are also exploring options to give you the opportunity to listen to the service by phone in the future. We hope to have this audit option available next week. The only individuals present on church premises during this period should be individuals necessary for live stream production and administrative functions.
Finally, thank you for your prayers and concerns for me and my family. I want you to know that we are well and our trip to South Africa was canceled. We are at home and safe. Lets look forward to a wonderful worship service as always tomorrow. I look forward to sharing with you from the topic,” Is there a Balm in Gilead?” Lets continue to pray for Healing in our nation and our world. I am believing God that we will worship together hand in hand soon.
